The Phantom Miro C210J has been designed to completely integrate into crash test workflow scenarios. The 1.3 Mpx sensor has 12-bit depth and tightly packed 5.6 micron pixel size for high detail in a small package.

Due to the intense and sometimes destructive nature of crash testing the small camera body is Hi-G tested with 170G shock and 24Grms vibration ratings.  Another safeguard built into the Miro C210J is that it is specifically designed to protect critical data, especially in catastrophic events. The internal, non-removable battery and 128GB CineFlash work to protect images until they can be safely stored for analysis.

Rugged and flexible cables connect the Miro C210J to the Miro Jbox 2.0. They allow easy positioning in a vehicle while withstanding the tough environment found in auto crash and other testing facilities.

Short Description
  • Small, light, and rugged, the Miro C210J meets the most difficult applications. It achieves 1,800 fps at full 1.3 Megapixel resolution of 1280 x 1024. With an internal battery and internal, non-removable CineFlash, important images are protected in the event AC power is interrupted or a cable is severed. The C210J is designed to operate with a Miro Junction Box, and can be modular: create multi-camera configurations as simple or complex as needed. Miro Junction Box specifications can be found in the Accessories section of the Vision Research web page.

Miro C 1.0/2.3 DIN cable

1.0/2.3 DIN to BNC cables, with female connectors for HD/SDI in Miro C210, C210J, Miro C320, and C320J

Miro J-Box System Cable

System cable to connect Miro C210J and C320J or adapter cable to Miro J-Box, J-Box 2.0. 5M, available in other lengths

The difference is in the connections. The Miro C210J must be operated through a system cable to the Miro Junction Box and does not have a separate power connector.  It is the perfect, lowest cost solution for a system of multiple connected cameras. The Miro C210 has the same 3 connectors as other Miros.  It can be powered and operated independently, or, with a Miro C Capture cable, it can also connect to the Miro Junction Box.

Otherwise, the Miro C210J and Miro C210 are the same.

The Miro Junction Box 2 (VRI-Miro-JB-2) accepts up to 6 Miro cameras at once. The Miro C210J and C320J uses a System Cable, while all other Miro cameras require a Miro C Capture or system adapter cable.

The Phantom RCU is a legacy solution for Flex, Miro and v-Series models. The Bluetooth dongle that was designed for the RCU also works with the handheld PCU from AbelCine, which is also compatible with most modern Phantom cameras. The Bluetooth dongle is needed for wireless connectivity with the RCU or PCU and connects to Phantom cameras with a “Remote port” (v-Series, UHS and Flex cameras). Note that Miro and VEO camera models do not have a ‘Remote’ port directly on the camera body. However, VEO cameras can be connected using the CAMEO VEObob accessory.
There are two third-party solutions that Vision Research recommends highly because they work for ALL Phantom cameras over their Ethernet connection:

    • The Semote handheld remote controller includes a handheld unit and camera unit to transmit the signal. This device provides a connection up to approximately 30 meters.

  • The iPhantom app works on any Apple IOS device, and connects to any Phantom camera that has a WiFi router attached to the camera. This is particularly great for VEO S-model cameras (with firmware after version 106), because those cameras include a USB port for a USB WiFi dongle available from Vision Research.
